Mr. McLaughlin is a Partner of the Denver, Colorado Law Firm of McDermott, Hansen and McLaughlin, and is licensed to practice in West Virginia (1979), Ohio (1980) and Colorado (1987).  Mr. McLaughlin's areas of concentration include representing plaintiffs in personal injury, medical malpractice and product liability cases.

A graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.A. 1976) and the University of Denver (J.D. 1979), Mr. McLaughlin served as a Municipal Judge for the City of Wheeling, West Virginia, from 1987 through 1997.  He is a member of the West Virginia, Ohio and Colorado State Bars, as well as a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association.

He is the author of "Investigating the Neonatal Group B Strep Case", published in the May 1998 edition of TRIAL, the Journal of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is also the author of "Fire in the Night", addressing electric blanket fires, published in the November 1999 edition of TRIAL.
