Neonatal Group B Strep

Group B Strep is the leading cause of systemic infection in newborns in the United States.  Recent changes in the published guidelines for management of Group B Strep in pregnant women have led to an improved standard of care and fewer affected babies.  Unfortunately, violations of the standard of care may lead to illness, permanent injury, and even death.
